OKEx, the world’s top digital asset exchange by trading volume, announced the successful completion of its community meetups in Moscow and Kiev on Sep 29 and 31 respectively. With more than 400 local project teams’ representatives, investors, and community members attending, the two meetups saw OKEx’s global expansion strategy paying off well.
The Moscow meetup was joined by the Russia ambassador of Horizen and c-suite executives of Play3Live, DeStream.io, and TokenStars. In the Kiev meetup, CEOs of Hacken.io, Remme, Geo Protocol as well as a representative of Kepler Technologies spoke in the event.
“Our communities in eastern Europe are growing at an exceptional speed,” said Andy Cheung, OKEx’s Heads of Operations. “Because of their individual socio-economic reasons, the general public and governments of many eastern European countries are very keen on blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. Having spotted the surging demands in the region, we decided to take a tour to meet and greet our communities.”
“The blockchain and crypto communities worldwide own a common characteristic,” Cheung explained. “While the digital asset originates on the internet and many newcomers learn about it on the web, most of them actually prefer to take part in meetups and talk face-to-face with industry leaders to gain knowledge and explore new market trends. This has become a booming phenomenon all over the world and is also why our Global Meetup Tour is a key strategy of our global expansion. We are very excited to see the meetup very well received by the communities in eastern Europe.”
On Sep 14, Cheung will also speak at the NEXT BLOCK Conference Sofia, one of the largest blockchain events in eastern Europe.
