When did you first hear about Bitcoin/blockchain and how?

I was working for one of the UK’s leader in Market Trading Platform, ETX Capital during 2010 – 2013, that’s where I heard about Digital Currency Bitcoin about 2011-12. It was very early days when I knew I was getting 1000 BTC for $400, and I didn’t buy it!! This was the biggest miss I ever had in my life!

What was the first crypto-related activity you did?

I have created Ethereum Fork, setup in private network, and tried to understand the source code and consensus algorithm.

What was the last non-blockchain related job/occupation you had?

By profession, I am Full-stack-developer, I work on multiple technologies but my expertise is iOS Development and have been consulting projects in the UK while also working on Blockchain projects.

What made you migrate to the blockchain professional environment?

I strongly believe that Blockchain is the future. Our kids may not know about paper currency! We are in the Era of 1990s of Amazon or Google. We have a long way to go but it’s just a matter of Technology Adoption. Once Blockchain starts coming into the mainstream from various ways – the technology will spread like a virus! I want to be one of the early adopter of the future technology.

How do you see your role in blockchain and crypto? How do you think you can influence the industry?

I am from strong technical background and worked as Executive Director posts for Top investment banks in the UK like Barclays and Goldman Sachs. I have jumped into the Blockchain technology in the very early days when Ethereum was just released during 2015. I have acquired solid knowledge about Blockchain project and end-to-end ICO projects. I believe I am strong in Vision and Strategy execution of the project, and have solid understanding about what project needs in order to achieve long term success.

How do you see the actual situation with ICOs? Do you believe they should be regulated?

Yes, I strongly believe that ICO needs to be regulated. I am certain that the situation we have landed right now where it’s hard to believe in the project and hard to get decent investors is all due to the speculation and instant profit philosophy created during 2016-2017. I also believe that we will not see same trends anymore with future ICOs. If ICOs are regulated then it will be less crowded and easy for investors to recognise strong and future Blockchain project vs scam projects. Moreover, speculation will turn into the reality which I think should be the way going forward for project to raise reasonable funds which actually require to complete the project and push it to the regular people and start generating revenues.

From your point of view, what are the main challenges of blockchain at the moment?

Primary challenge is Scalability without compromising Security. Lack of Adoption is also one of the the critical challenges to get Blockchain into the mainstream.

How do you see the future of blockchain? How will it evolve? Where do you think we will be in ten years’ time? Do you see crypto as some kind of universal payment system? Do you think that bitcoin will still be king, etc?

Blockchain is the Future – I have no doubt about it! It will evolve through greater projects solving the main challenges of the blockchain as stated earlier which will increase the Adoption of the blockchain technology. I am 100% sure Blockchain is the only solution to make universal payment system – our kids may not know about paper currency as stated earlier. Yes, Bitcoin will stay the KING always as I believe it’s the mother of all Cryptos.
